Meon Valley Garden Club Returns for the Autumn

Local Veterinary Surgeon Gillian Taylor will be wearing her Plantswoman hat when she is the first speaker of the autumn at Meon Valley Garden Club. The talk entitled ‘My French Garden – from Farmers Field to Fruit and Flowers ‘will be at the Meon Hall on Thursday 24th October at 7.30pm. All Welcome. Non-members £2 on the door

It is the story of a gardening adventure in the Mayenne; a project to convert a field of maize stalks into a productive and attractive garden. Themes covered will include challenges of long-distance plant care and selection, sustainability and the creation of wildlife habitat.

Gillian will also be selling a selection of plants – the proceeds of which will all be donated to the Gardeners Charity – Perennial which helps people working in the Horticultural industry.
